Growing Castor Through Structured Partnerships.

Harsom is working to connect farm production, practical support and planned routes to market.

The Farming Model

Organised production, built with farmers.

Harsom is developing a castor supply chain by working with farmers through structured production arrangements. The aim is to align planting, crop management, harvest planning and market requirements from the outset.

Before Planting

Discuss farm suitability, land and water availability, production plans and the applicable supplier requirements.

During Growth

Use practical training, crop monitoring and agronomic guidance to support production and address issues as they arise.

At Harvest

Coordinate harvest readiness, drying, handling and collection in line with the agreed supplier contract.

Farmer Responsibilities

Plan together. Understand the terms.

Farmers should understand the resources, costs, labour, land preparation, irrigation, inputs, reporting and post-harvest responsibilities required for their operation. Harsom’s support and any purchase commitments are governed by the specific arrangements agreed with each supplier.
