Harsom NL11 Castor Seed
The Harsom’s Treated (NL11) Castor Seed is prepared for farmers who want to begin their castor planting with seed that has already undergone Harsom’s applicable seed-treatment process.
Seed treatment forms part of Harsom’s castor production approach and is intended to support the preparation of seed before planting. The treated option provides an additional level of preparation compared with Harsom’s untreated brown seed.
The 3 kg pack corresponds to Harsom’s current reference of approximately 3 kg of seed per hectare, subject to variety, planting conditions and the applicable production plan.
Why choose treated seed?
Ready for the Harsom planting programme
The seed has already undergone the applicable treatment process before being supplied to the farmer.
Additional seed preparation
The treatment is part of Harsom’s approach to preparing seed for cultivation and managing production risks associated with seed and plant establishment.
Suitable for farmers who want a prepared planting option
The treated product is intended for customers who prefer to purchase seed that has already been prepared rather than purchasing the untreated option.
What’s the difference between the two seed options?
The R50 difference is for the additional treatment and preparation applied to the treated seed.
